ABSTRACT: Innovations in vocational training for careers in data science and analytics are essential in preparing a skilled workforce for the rapidly evolving data-driven industry. This study aimed to explore the effectiveness of new training methodologies in data science, identify critical skills developed through these programs, and evaluate student satisfaction with innovative training approaches. A survey design was employed to gather detailed data from participants enrolled in data science and analytics vocational programs. The sample size included 300 students from various technical institutions specializing in data science and analytics. Purposive sampling was used to select participants with a foundational knowledge of data science concepts. The case study was conducted at Covenant University, Ogun State, Nigeria. Findings revealed that innovative training methods significantly enhanced students' data analysis skills, improved their proficiency with data science tools, and increased their readiness for data-driven careers. Students reported high satisfaction levels with the training programs, highlighting the practical applications and relevance of the curriculum. It was recommended that vocational training institutions continuously update their data science curricula and incorporate emerging technologies to ensure students are well-prepared for industry demands.
